Invalid token on confirmation & reset, sometimes RRS feed

  • Question

  • User1135409183 posted

    Hi,

When users generate reset or confirmation tokens in ASP.NET Core, few users get the error invalid token.

I have tried encoding/decoding, and checked that the security stamp is null.

I also made sure that confirmation and reset aren't mixed so each code has it's correct method.

I have read several topics but couldn't find an answer yet.

    Thank you

Same issue in my project. Few of clients get this issue from time to time (not always) in pwd reset page. (MVC5, Identity).

When i tried to replicate, it doesn't occur. I first thought browser extensions as culprits, seems they are not.

You can reproduce it by intentionally clicking submit button twice. (may not be the case we are after).

    Hi Zain-Alabdin,

According to your description and this error message, I found someone who meet the similar problem as you, please refer to these solutions:

    Asp.NET - Identity 2 - Invalid Token Error:

    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/25405307/asp-net-identity-2-invalid-token-error

Asp.Net Identity Invalid Token for password reset or email confirmation:

    http://tech.trailmax.info/2015/05/asp-net-identity-invalid-token-for-password-reset-or-email-confirmation/

Also I think this issue is related to asp.net core, so you could get a more suitable support in this forum:

    Asp.Net Core:
