Question About Publishing Feature RRS feed

  • Question

  • To create a site template you must turn off the publishing feature - If I do this, create a site template, and then turn publishing back on will it mess up anything?

  • Sorry, but this is unsupported in same way as if the publishing feature would have been activated during creation of the site template.

You would have to remove all artefacts from the publishing features (pages library, pubishing images library, pubishing documents library, various different properties in the property bag of the site) to get back to a state where saving as a template would be supported and would not lead to site effects.
