where have the MSDN downloads gone? RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • THe only way I can find my way to the MSDN subscription downloads is to google it and then I get the old downloads page...

I am not so frequent a user of my MSDN and pretty much just use it to download software to test new OS's with our products..

But if I can't do that, then I don't see the point of a subscription anymore.  Really do not understand companies like microsoft that seem to make change just for change sake and screw all the people that used to know their way around your web site.

Unless you are making things easier to get at - which this certainly hasn't for me (I've developed web applications for the last 20 yrs, so I know a little about usability) then don't do it.

If I can't get at my subscriber downloads any more from one login point, then I am going cancel my subs and just use AWS instance s for my testing as I have pretty much alll the OS options in AMIs there that I really need.

Thanks for wasting my time again MS.

  • Dear jogdial,

The old "MSDN Subscription" has now moved to the new "Visual Studio Subscription Portal" you can access your downloads from the new Visual Studio Subscription link.

You can still access the old "MSDN Portal" from the following link.
