Escape division in vb linq name RRS feed

  • Question

  • How would I escape the below division in a VB linq name? This should be simple but I'm not sure how to do it. Basically the compiler is considering the forward slash (/) a division.

    from tmp In blah where blah select [My/Name] = tmp.blah

  • Hi Ģ®€ğ§QĻ;

    Variable names in Visual Basic are not permitted to have the / in its name. the only valid characters are that are permitted can be found on the Microsoft documentation: Declared Element Names.
