Cannot delete duplicate workspace on same computer RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm unable to delete workspace for a user who has been moved to a different domain in TFS 2010.  This user has 2 workspaces and both have the same name, and they exist on the same computer.  The only difference is the domain for the owner.  The owner name for one of the workspaces is is just the username, but the the other workspace has an owner name of domain\username.  When I try to use the delete command, it asks me to 'specify one workspace'.  However I don't know how to get the system to differentiate between the two, and delete the one with the owner of domain\username.  Here is the command I've tried to use:

    tf workspace /delete workspace;domain\username server:servername

  • Hi tamkie,

    Thanks for your post!

First, please run tf workspaces /collection:http://servername:8080/tfs/defaultcollection /format:detailed to see the detailed workspaces in your collection.

Second, please run tf workspace /delete /collection:http://servername:8080/tfs/defaultcollection workspacename;domain\username to delete the wordspace you want.

Please feel free to let me know if it works!
