power pivot viewer RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have excel 2010 with powerpivot.

someone sent me an excel workbook with powerpivot that was made in 2013.

I can not see the powerpivot window.

Is there a viewer or some other solution to be able to see the powerpivot window that was made in 2013  in my 2010 version?

  • It looks like there is no way to open PowerPivot created in 2013 in 2010.

  • Are you using SharePoint? If you have SharePoint server setup with PowerPivot, you can view and interact with the file through the Excel Web App without having to open it in Excel. You may need SharePoint 2013. We have that and I've put up Excel-generated Power View reports in SharePoint and people can view and explore the reports through the Web Browser without having to install PowerPivot Or Power View in their local versions of Excel.
