Access Web App report in Microsoft SQL Report Builder RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a DB in SharePoint using Access Web App. The data base works fine but I need to create reports accesible for all employees, so I decided to use Microsoft SQL Server Report Builder. A few months ago I was able to create the report but now I'm having problems connecting to data base and I'm getting an error message:

"Cannot open server 'psx5uaibnk' requested by the login. Client with IP address ##.##.###.##' is not allowed to access the server.  To enable access, use the Windows Azure Management Portal or run sp_set_firewall_rule on the master database to create a firewall rule for this IP address or address range.  It may take up to five minutes for this change to take effect. "

When I check in Azure I'm not able to see the DB.

Does anyone have any idea how to solve this problem?

    Thanks

  • I think File > Info > Connections while you have the database loaded in Access. From there you can set firewall rules.

Since your issue is related to Azure, I apologize that we might not offer any helpful suggestion.

For you issue now, I suggest you have a look at Configure an Azure SQL Database server-level firewall rule using the Azure Portal.
