  • Hello Mou_inn,

The references in the following stack provide a great answer so I will not repeat them here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/14974810/whats-the-difference-between-transport-security-message-security-in-wcf

For me the following tools have been instrumental in diagnosing faults and confirming functionality:

    • SoapUI - great for quickly testing wcf services
    • WCF Tracing - using the wcf trace viewer to review the messages and errors
    • Fiddler - can be used to review the messages being sent and received
    • Wireshark - can be used to review the messages being sent and received

It takes a bit of time to understand what the WCF Tracing is showing you but you can determine that the message is being secured from the trace messages.

    Cheers, Jeff
