    Question

  • Hi,

    I'm creating a folder inside app local data from an external desktop thread. While uninstalling the app, this folder alone is not getting deleted, that is, app is actually trying to removed it, its removed but the physical operation is not getting applied to the disk.

    Is there a way to resolve this ? or is to possible to do a pre check in WinRT code before uninstalling our app ?

  • Hi,

    Windows Store apps are sandboxed.There is no specific event handler for Windows Store apps to respond app removal. System will manage it to remove app along with all its local data.

    And when user uninstall an app, the app package also removed. So the local folder which include in package also removed. The app local data contain in local folder, why your local data cannot removed. Please see a link below to get more information:
