  • Hi La Cour,

As you would have known (as you’re asking this question) Microsoft has just (25th-June) released the preview version of Windows Server 2012 R2. Its general release is not available yet. As of now, there is no official news of its compatibility with BizTalk Server 2013. I don’t find any reason not to use in 2012 R2 when we can on 2012. But no official confirmation yet and hope its may been too early for someone to have tried it. We will watch this space.

  • Has there been any update on this question? Will Microsoft offer product support for BizTalk Server 2013 on Windows Server 2012 R2? If so, will it require some future update to BizTalk Server 2013?

  • Based on the history of BizTalk server, I would say no, it will not be officially supported.

    BizTalk Server 2004, 2006 and 2006 R2 only suported Windows Server 2003.

BizTalk Server 2009, 2010 and 2013 are supported on their current (at release) and one previous version of Windows.

I don't expect BizTalk Server 2013 to be supported on 3 versions of Windows.  I do expect it to work just fine though on Windows Server 2012 R2.
