Powershell script to update library from csv RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, fairly new to SharePoint, and was wondering if someone might be able to help me with a script that updates fields in a sharepoint document library from a csv file.

I have spent a lot of time searching for something similar but haven't been able to get anything working, the closest was a script i found was on the following page, but as I say I couldn't get this to work.

I'm using SharePoint Foundation, so I am not looking to update any metadata but I have a fairly large number of documents in a library, and would like to try and add some values to text fields using powershell, i was thinking that the csv would contain two columns the sharepoint id and the value to be added, then the id in the csv would be the reference to the SharePoint item to update.

Any suggestions to how this could be done or something similar would be gratefully appreciated.

    Thanks.
