sql server 2008 replication with transactional replication with updatabale subscribtions error RRS feed

    Hello,

    I am trying to create a new publication with transactional replication with updatable subscribtions but I am getting the below error. I have another publication working perfectly on the same server using transactional replication only.

    Unable to set the Publisher login for the updatable subscription. You may have to set this up directly on the Subscriber machine using sp_link_publication.

    Hi salah chebaro,

     

    Before further investigation, please provide us the detailed error message. We could get detailed error message with the steps below:

    1.       In the Creating Subscription(s) step of creating subscription, click the error message under Message column

    2.       In the popup window, please click the icon to the right of the question icon

    3.       Paste here the content

     

    Besides, please also check the following setting:

    ·         Please make sure that the login which is required in the Login For Updatable Subscriptions step exists in the publisher and have sufficient privilege on certain table, meanwhile this login should be SQL login

    ·         Please ensure MSDTC is configured correctly in the publisher and subscriber, please see this link: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/sqlforum/archive/2010/12/20/faq-how-do-i-configure-sql-server-to-enable-distributed-transactions-via-linked-server.aspx

    ·         Please enable remote access in the publisher, please see this link: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms190187.aspx
