I have a problem with the "create new project" window when open a new Visual C++ Win32 Console Application. Can someone try to help me fix this?

    Question

  • It's my first post on MSDNForums, so, if Ipost in the wrong place, please let me know.

Ok...When I try to open a new Win32 Console Application in Visual C++, Visual Studio asks details about the Project, right? Ok... My problem is: I've formatted my PC recently, and when Visual Studio upgraded to Update 1, the window was weird and I can't choose the project settings... I think the problem is incompatibility of Update 1 with the translation to PT-BR, because I've used Visual Studio with Update 1 before the installation of the language pack and the window isn't weird, and this doesn't happened with Visual 2015 (without Update 1, and with Language Pack)... Now I don't know how to restore it back to "normal function" and the preference is that I can resolve this without removing PT-BR Support...

    Can anyone help me?

This is how the window looks: http://1drv.ms/1PrTCYw

    Thanks for your posting.

I did a test in my side using VS2015 Community Update1. And I install the PT-BR language package.

  • Lake Xiao,

As you have discovered, there are issues with installing Language Packs after installing Visual Studio 2015 Update 1, and we are working on resolving those issues.

Until we resolve those issues, the recommended workaround is to install Visual Studio 2015 RTM, then install any desired Language Packs (PT-BR in your case), then install Visual Studio 2015 Update 1.

  • Please make sure that you uncheck the Update 1 checkbox when you run the installer if you're planning to install a Language Pack.

    Thanks,
