Getting a table out of a website RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

I am trying to load a table out of a website but I can not find specific code on how to do this in Windows Store Apps.

I am new to store apps, so please son't think of this as a stupid question.

For example I am trying to get some information off an intranet site similar to http://periodictable.com/Elements/004/data.html, for this website I dont want the first table which is the elements at the top but the tables below that contain the information.

    Is this even possible.

  • Hello BR Computing,

With the HTML page above, the table that renders in IE is HTML content. If you want to send HTTP request programmatically, you will get back a HTML response which you will need to parse yourself.

To send the HTTP request and retrieve the response, you can use the Windows.Web.Http.HttpClient sample. You can get that sample from code.msdn.com.
