  • Hi Team,

    In mirror server database(In Recovery) mode

    how can we put normal mode.>

    i tried to restore log file also it not accept it

  • If the DB is "In Recovery" it means that the DB is currently in a failover state. Normally this state clears by itself. If it doesn't please look into the SQL Errorlog, most likely you will find the reason there...

    Please click here for important queries for database mirroring.

    If you want to restore database to normal stage you can run below command

    RESTORE DATABASE dbname WITH RECOVERY

    Hi Naresh

    I use this command RESTORE DATABASE dbname WITH RECOVERY

    ERROR:

    DB' x' can't be opened. It is in the middle of the a restore.

  • run this command in the mirrored server

    ALTER DATABASE DBNAME SET PARTNER OFF

    GO

    RESTORE DATABASE DBNAME WITH RECOVERY

  • Sorry, but I disagree babu. Switching mirroring off just because a failover has happened is a VERY bad idea. And if the DB is "In Recovery" (as stated by the original question...) your commands wouldn't even work.

    And furthermore: Please don't mark your own postings as answers. Leave it to somebody else to crosscheck.

    Mr. Subbu is  trying   change the recovery mode the database ,which was in previously configured for mirroring, ans now his intension is to change the recovery mode of the mirrored database, and he is trying to do that, to change the recovery mode of the database, we have set the partner off, then only we can change the recovery mode of the mirrored database, do you have othe option plz explain i am ready to Learn, by mistake i have marked it as proposed answer and sorry for that.
