  • Hey Loasca,

Try powering off your router and disconnected its power source. Wait approximately 30 seconds and then reconnect your router. Once the router lights return to normal, test to see if the same problem occurs.

Also try checking with the provider of your router to see if a newer version of your router's firmware is available.

  • Hey Loasca,

Mark (mfisher224) was able to resolve this problem by refreshing his PC. Here is what will happen when you refresh your PC:

    • Your files and personalization settings won't change.
    • Your PC settings will be restored to their defaults.
    • Apps from Windows Store will be kept. All other apps will be removed.

    To refresh your PC:

    • Enter the Start screen
    • Click Control Panel
    • Click General in the left column
    • Under Refresh your PC without affecting your files, click Get started

Then follow the information that will be provided on the screen.

    Hope that helps.

  • Hey Loasca,

I've split your responses into their own thread. If you are reading this from your email you can find your new thread by logging into the MSDN forums. Then click the My Threads link in the column toward the right edge of the page.

Let's try disabling power management for the networking device. You can do this by:

    • Enter the Start screen
    • Type Device Manager
    • Click Settings in the right column
    • Click Device Manager
    • Expand the Network adapters group
    • Right click on the network adapter in question
    • Click Properties
    • Click the Power Management tab
    • Uncheck the Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power box
    • Click OK
    • Restart your computer

Then test to see if the same problem occurs.
