SQL Table as Stream Analytics Job Input RRS feed

  • Question

  • It is possible to have an Azure SQL table as input of a Stream Analytics Job?

I am capturing PH data from sensors that send this data to an IoTHub who is being used by a stream analytics to store this information in a SQL table (This is output 1)

I am also analyzing whether the PH is outside a defined range and sending it to an EventHub to send an alert, before I was passing MinValue and MaxValue on every request, but this is not efficient and neither maintenable in my opinion.

My idea was to pull those Min and Max value from a SQL table and feed them as an inout to the Stream Analytics job.

    Thanks,

    Rodney

  • Hi,

For your scenario, it seems you want to use the SQL table as reference data.

As this time, only blob input is available for reference data. However as a workaround you can create an Azure function that periodically reads the data from the SQL table and update the blob storage with the latest min/max values.

    Thanks,
