First you need to update web.config to support ajax functionality, Then you need to modify your master page and place script manager tag immediately under form tag

If you want to make web.config entries through feature then refer below link and check for Ajax.Config Feature

Please let us know if you need more info on the same

The pages you developed in VS 2008 can be ported to SharePoint with Ajax, before doing that you need to follow the steps provided Raj such as

Add the Ajax related web.config entries such adding the required assembly tags, httphandler tags, Page control tags and Safe control entries

Ensure your web page are deriving from LayoutsPageBase

If you have a custom master page add the ScriptManager tag  else add the control to the required pages.

Now deploy the pages in 12/_layouts/ folder and check the functionality

  • To support AJAX functionality of any .net based or sharepoint based webapplication First we need to configure our web.conig ajax specific entires(handlers etc...)  and modify the master page accordingly as mentioned in the previous post

Please let us know what is the meaning of below line, I mean what kind of functionality your page contains, based on that we will deside implementation like refactoring the code or deploying directly etc...

So I need to deploy the same pages in MOSS 2007 with AJAX Functionality?
