WES7 custom shell interfering with touch screen input RRS feed

  • I am using a custom shell written in VB.NET as the Explorer replacement for my WES7 installation. On the OS, we are running a windowed game with a touch screen. When I run this game even on very anemic hardware on a regular Windows 7 installation using the same touch screen, I have no performance issues. However, when I run the game on my OS, using the touch screen results in a severe drop in framerate, animations not updating properly, etc. The only thing I can think of is that the shell is processing touch input even when it doesn't have focus.

    Are there any settings on the shell's form that I should make sure are configured a particular way to make sure that it's not stealing focus? I already check within the shell to see if the game is running; is there a way that I should be explicitly ignoring touch input while the game is running?
