Cannot get Win10 driver samples from GitHub RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello, I'm trying to get /Windows-driver-samples from GitHub. I created a new GitHub account and configured RSA key for SSH. But the web page doesn't have Clone option (under + sign at top-right portion of the web page) - in order for me to copy/paste Git config spec. What's recommended way of getting Win10 Driver Samples from GitHub?

  • Git does not allow cloning subdirectories of a repo, like subversion does, and it does not have "config specs".

So you either check out whole repo , which may be too large - or use a trick known as "sparse checkout" or "multiple working trees". See here for example.
