ResourceLoading sample question. Where is tool-ObjToVbo called from? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm studying the resourceLoading sample.

    I get that it is a stand alone project added to the solution.

    I get that the resourceLoading project depends on the tool-ObjToVbo project so the latter builds first.

    I get that the filename of the .obj to be converted and the output filename enter tool-ObjToVbo through its main() args.

    I know that before the solution is ran for the first time, there is no output VBO file, so I can see that tool-ObjToVbo runs at some point to create it.

    Where is it called from in this sample? Where in the sample does it name the .obj file it desires to convert? Is it buried in the ResourceLoading properties somewhere?

    Thank you.

  • Hello,

    They are two tools for file convert, Obj2Vbo use to  convert the .obj file to .vbo file and the texconv use to convert .png to .DDS file

    The commands are in the Resourceloading.vcxproj file,

    Right click your project ->Unload project->Editor Resourceloading.vcxproj

    You can find them in CustomBuild  element.
