  • Hello,

i have a problem with SQL 2016 standard when I miggrate from SQL 2008R2 Standard.

    Old Server:

    -Windows server 2008R2

    -SQL 2008R2 Standard

    -Database 64Gb

    -Server Ram 20Gb

    -Instance ram limit 16Gb

    New Server:

    -Windows Server 2016

    -SQL 2016 Standard

    -Database 64Gb

The problem is on the new server. Ram all time is on 100% but I don't know why because the instance have set Maximum server memory.

  • Which program is consuming RAM in your new server ? since you have limited sql max to 26 GB , SQL buffer pool shouldn't use more than that
