signedXML.CheckSignature(Cert, true) returns false with public certificate RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

Objective is to sign a XML document.  I able to sign and verify it using the certificate that has both private and public keys.  However, the API returns false when I use the certificate with the public key alone.

    signedXML.CheckSignature(Cert, true) <--- command issue

I verified both certificates are correct and they are properly installed on the system.  Certificates were issued from a reliable vendor and verified again they match.

  • Hi Swamy,

    Welcome to the MSDN forum.

Could you please provide more code snippet? How do you generate the Cert parameter and sign the XML? Then how do you verify it?

Any more information that helps us to reproduce this issue is appreciated.

    Thanks for your understanding.
