  • Dear Riyaz Ahmed mansuri,

    Welcome to the MSDN forum.

What’s your OS edition that you want to enable/install the .NET Framework 3.5?

If your OS is Windows 8 or higher than Windows 8, please have a look at the following install guide documents:

     https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh506443(v=vs.110).aspx

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2785188

    Solution in offline mode:

    1. Insert Windows 8/8.1/10 DVD or mount ISO image. The source of this feature can be found in folder E:\sources\sxs (In this case E: the user’s drive letter on which the user has loaded Windows 8/8.1/10 Media.)

    2. Open cmd.exe with administrator privileges

    3. Run the following command Dism.exe /online /enable-feature /featurename:NetFX3 /All /Source:E:\sources\sxs /LimitAccess, and hit Enter. After completing the installation of .NET Framework 3.5 you can see that the feature is enabled.

    Solutions in online mode:

    1. Install the .NET Framework 3.5 on Demand

If an application requires the .NET Framework 3.5 and cannot find the version on your computer, it displays the following message box and you should choose Install this feature to enable the .NET Framework 3.5.

    2. Enable the .NET Framework 3.5 in Control Panel

Go to Control PanelàTurn Windows features on or off, it brings up the Turn Windows features on or off dialog box, and select .NET Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0) and click OK. After this step, it will download the entire package from internet and install the .NET Framework 3.5 feature.

    3. Download the .NET Framework 3.5 installer

The download link of the .NET Framework 3.5 installer: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=21

    Best regards,

    Sara
