How to avoid option Dialog on saving an Appointment RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    I am editing (say Start Time) an appointment (having) and then saving it, which gives me dialog saying:

    "The time of the meeting is changed. Chose one of the following : 1) Save Changes and send update 2) Don't Save changes".

    How can avoid this dialog to pop up and save the changes? I have tried saving the appointment in following ways but both pops up the dialog:

       appointmentItem.Save();

       appointmentItem.Close(Microsoft.Office.Interop.Outlook.OlInspectorClose.olSave);

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks

  • Hi,

    If you work on OL2010, then this is the expected behavior.
    You cannot change the time without either send an update or undo the change.

  • If using Redemption is an option then updates can be controlled. RDOAppointment items only update if you tell them to.
