  • Question

  • Hello & Thanks ;

    I am developing a WebBrowser app in VB on VB.Net 2019 Community Version:

    The program is very very slow .

    1) What version of IE or Edge does it use ?

    2) How can I create a .exe file ? Will this help ?

    Thanks for your help !

  • Hi vmars316,
    For question one:
    The default version of the WebBrowser control is IE7 compatibility mode.
    For question two:
    You can use ClickOnce to publish the application and create a .exe file.
    Please follow the steps below:
    1.Right- click your project and choose properties.
    2.Click the "Publish" and enter the publish page.
    3.Enter the  location in the "Publishing Folder Location" and click "Publish Now" button.
    More details you can refer to this document.
