Visual Studio Toolbox w/Windows Phone 7 controls RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have developed several Silverilght 4, WPF, and Windows Phone 7 components.  As part of our installation procedure, we integrate these components into the VS 2010 toolbox via the Toolbox Controls Installer regsitry key.  This works great for the SL and WPF controls, but the WP7 are not available when VS is in the WP7 project context (greyed out).  They are erroneously available when in the SL project context however.

What is the correct recommended procedure to integrate WP7 controls into the VS 2010 toolbox at install time?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Hi CAelevy,

    Thanks for your post.

I'm not familiar with Win Phone 7 control, but as far as I know that Win phone 7 has its specific IDE,

I think controls in VS toolbox matches designers but not project type,

I don't know if VS support Wins Phone 7 designer, but you need to make the controls recognize such designer,

I'll try to investigate further on that.
