iSCSI initiator does not work RRS feed

  • I have WES7 and iSCSi RAID. I can ping the iSCSI RAID. Firewall is power off.

    It is not possible connecting with iSCSI Intitiator to iSCSI RAID.

    I seeing progress report [Initiator Instance Does not exist]. 

    With Windows 7 (not embedded) and same hardware it is work.


    Any ideas?

  • I'm not familiar with SCSI Support, but did you add Microsoft iSCSI Initiator Driver?
    "Mark/Propose As Answer" if you got one.

  • SCSI/RAID support is not part of the Windows Embedded core. These drivers are stored in seperate packages under Packages->Drivers->scsiadapter.

    1. If you still have Windows 7 running, run TAP.EXE to create a PMQ file.

    2. import the PMQ file into ICE answer file so you can see what drivers are pulled in.

  • detail ... on WES7 Installation DVD pick drivers out of \DS\Packages\Drivers\x86~winemb-inf-iscsi~~~~6.1.7601.17514~1.0 and install them on your ThinClient. After enabling iSCSI Initiator you should see missing device in device manager.
