  • Question

  • When start to run the case 'Serial Number'. A parameter 'IsDeviceEmbeddedInSystem' need to be set.

I don't understand what it means. In what situation the parameter could be set as TRUE? Would some one give me some examples?

  • This is the online test documentation that I was able to find.

    USB Serial Number Test: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/hh998535.aspx

Given the name of the parameter, I would guess that it is asking if the device is part of the system in such a way that a normal user of the would be unable to remove the device.

True - Device is internally connected to the USB bus and can not be removed.

False - Device is a externally connected device, and can be unplugged at any time.
