EWS Cannot update or delete private appointments RRS feed

  • Hi folks

    we have an application which syncs appointments to and from Exchange. Some customers do not like Impersonation due to privacy concerns so we implemented a second way to access the appointments via Folderpermissions: a certain user has fullaccess-rights (i.e. 'Owner ') on the calenders of the Outlook users.

    Everythings works fine as long as the 'Create', 'Delete', 'Update', 'SyncFolderItems' operations are done on non-private Appointments.

    With private Appointments 'Delete' and 'Update' throw an exception 'The specified object was not found in the store.'

    When using impersonation no exception is thrown. Any idea what's wrong?

    Do you have access to the mailboxes that you are trying to modify

    Grant mailbox permissions on the existing mailboxes by using the Add-MailboxPermission and see the results
