unable to connect to mysql server on Azure VM RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have setup a new VM on Azure as guided by windowsazure.com/en-us/documentation/articles/virtual-machines-mysql-windows-server-2008r2/

I've installed the mysql server 5.6 on the VM, and also configured the Endpoint on azure management portal

But when i try to access the database on VM, I get a connection error.

I do not have a static ip address so, do i need to configure my MySQL everytime with my IP Address ??

Is there any solution ? I guess Endpoint was supposed to do this

(I had disabled the firewall, but still error)

  • Hi,

    Thanks for your posting.

How did you configure the endpoint?

Did you configure the public port as 57500?

    Regards.
