Two FP upgrade to EW questions (StevieD) - 10/3/2007 6:51 PM PST RRS feed

I own FP 2003 (valid version with disks and product keys) which is loaded on
    an old WinXP 32bit computer.

I have a Vista64bit computer coming as we speak.

    My questions:

    1) Can I purchase the EW upgrade version and install it on the new computer.
Most specifically does the FP 2003 need to be installed on the new computer
to validate the EW? Or does the product key & disks in hand suffice?

    2) Is FP 2003 compatible with Vista64? My goal is to only have the EW on
the new computer, but the old computer is dying a slow death and I may need
to have FP on the new computer until the transfer to EW is complete.

You do not need to install FrontPage on the new machine - having the
    disc to hand is sufficient.

There is a known bug in Vista (32bit) that prevents FrontPage from using
the hyperlink dialogue - it does not affect every user, but does affect
most. The result of using the Hyperlinks dialogue is FrontPage closing.

I have not heard of any bugs or problems specific to Vista 64bit, though
    the above may be present.
