    Hello all,

I am very new to ASP.Net Web API. I created an API which I am planning to use as a backend for my Windows universal app. When I run the API it gives me this error.

    HTTP Error 403.14 - Forbidden

The Web server is configured to not list the contents of this directory.

    Please advise!

It would help to know about the URL you're using and how you're reaching it - are you trying to hit it locally?

If you're just browsing from IIS, for example, it won't necessarily add the service name to the end of the application name in the URL, and will think you're trying to browse the directory of the application.

Thanks Andy for the speedy response.

Yes I was trying hit it locally and this is the URL. Finally I was able to get through the issue. This was what I initially did "http://localhost:54507", which was giving me the issue. Now I added the "http://localhost:54507/api/Fas" the api keyword and the controller name which eventually pulled up the records from the database.

    Thanks again.
