  • Hi,

InstanceState is one of the tables that support SqlWorkflowPersistenceService, which is the durable persistence service in WF3. If WF4, SqlWorkflowInstsanceStore is used. More information about this service is here:

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee383994.aspx

And the database schema for that database is here:

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee943755.aspx

You don't need the InstanceState and the tables from the WF3 SqlWorkflowPersistenceService unless you are hosting workflows using WorkflowRuntime, which is the hosting mechanism in WF3.

    Thanks,
