Error when opening very large OpenXML generated document RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am generating a document using the OpenXML SDK and it is working great.  However, when I reach a certain point in the generation where the number of characters reach around 150k, the generation goes okay but Word 2010 and the Open SDK Productivity Tool error out.

Word will eventually open the document and says it fixed the problem but won't tell me what the problem was.

The Productivity tool says that the file is corrupt.

I have narrowed it down to a certain range where this happens but unsure what the true cause could be.  Any help is appreciated.

BTW, I am using altChunk to embed a large XHTML document.

  • Hi Misa,

How did you embed the XHTML document? If you don't embed it, will the file corrupt, you can take a try? If it still corrupt, I think it may not relate with the problem.

In addition, could you show me some code snippet?

Just feel free to follow up after you have tried.
