Outlook connectivity issue from public network RRS feed

  • Hi,

    Our users are unable to access email over Outlook from public network (Outlook Anywhere). But email over web and mobile is working fine from public network.

    All are working fine including from internal network. But Outlook is unable to connect from external network.

    Our Environment is

    Exchange 2013 (3 mailbox server + 3 Client Access)

    F5 Load balancer & firewall also there.

    Recently we have deployed exchange 2019 servers to the environment which is still not in production.

    Also recently we have enabled 

    Set-OrganizationConfig -MapiHttpEnabled $true in organization level

    We did a Test Email Auto Configuration test in both internal & external .

    Internal network is getting MAPI over HTTP details and external is getting only IMAP related details.

    I request kind advice & support to sort this issue.

  • Hi Ashraf,

    Please run the cmdlet below and check if the external url for MAPI over HTTP is set properly:

    Get-MapiVirtualDirectory  | fl name, server, *url

    Besides, you can run an Outlook Connectivity using the ExRCA tool and see if any more clues can be found.
