Invalid Object Name When Generating Report Model RRS feed

  • Question

  • I've begun experimenting with the report modeling functionality in SSRS 2008.  When generating a new mode an "Invalid column name" erro is presented.  I assume this is being thrown while the wizard is attempting to update statistics.

The error dialog presents a query with several count_big() calls.  The actual error text is listed below:

    TITLE: Microsoft Visual Studio
    ------------------------------

An error occurred while executing a command.
    Message: Invalid column name 'D_value'.

  • Most likely, your DSV is out of date and these columns no longer exist.  Open the .dsv file and refresh the schema, then try to generate the model again.
