Failure to install driver test components RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am trying to debug a device driver from a laptop (host) connected to a desktop (target). Both are running Windows 10.

When I try to configure the target from Visual Studio Community 2015 on the host, it creates and starts a new user, WDKRemoteUser.

It then fails trying to configure the target with the following error:

C:\DriverTest\Setup exists on the target and the laptop has no problem in reading and writing files there. I get the identical error whatever I do, including deleting the existing C:\DriverTest\Setup directory.

Any help would be much appreciated.
