How can I access "Unread Mail" folder in Outlook 2013 Addin? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I'm trying to get all unread mails count in some specified mail folders.

I think the simplest way is to check "Unread Mail" folder there, but I didn't found it programmatically.

Anyone know how to access it and is there some alternative way?

    Thanks

    Pench

  • Unread Mail is a search folder, you have to use GetSearchFolders to access it. Second thing - its contents (applied search criteria) may encompass different scope then your folders that you want to search in. You can either create your own search or simply traverse desired set of folders and use Restrict("[Unread] = true")
