Hi. I currently have an IIS 7 farm on comprising of two Windows 2008 servers using shared config within IIS (on a network share). I now want to install Sharepoint server onto this IIS farm - is this possible? I have tried installing SP server onto the first farm member and then the second and joining it to sharepoint farm. This all appears to go ok and all services appear to be running however when I try and launch central administration (url on first IIS member) i get prompted for authentication and then get a runtime error - server error in '/' application - have I missed something or can SPS not be installed into an existing IIS farm?
I am running MOSS farm on both IIS6 and IIS7 with no issues. I would check you authentication methods in IIS7, make sure all services are up and running. Any errors in the event log?
