Change to app.manifest causes the build to crash VS 2012 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello Team,

    I am trying to resolve the DPI settings for Reportviewer rendering in the app.manifest of the project. So, tried editing my projects app.manifest file with the section mentioned for DpiAware. However, I am getting the error below here when I run the project. I am using VS 2012 IDE

    Value cannot be null.
    Parameter name: activationContext

    My complete manifest file after editing is

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <asmv1:assembly manifestVersion="1.0" xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v1" xmlns:asmv1="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v1" xmlns:asmv2="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v2" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
      <trustInfo xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v2">
        <security>
          <applicationRequestMinimum>
            <defaultAssemblyRequest permissionSetReference="Custom" />
            <PermissionSet version="1" Unrestricted="true" ID="Custom" SameSite="site" />
          </applicationRequestMinimum>
        </security>
      </trustInfo>
      <asmv3:application xmlns:asmv3="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v3">
        <asmv3:windowsSettings xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/SMI/2005/WindowsSettings">

        </asmv3:windowsSettings>
      </asmv3:application>
    </asmv1:assembly>

    Is there anything I am missing.
