Conditional Formatting, Stop If True can't force it to stop RRS feed

  • Question

  • hi all,

I to put a length limit on a column input through the Conditional Formatting Rules Manager. If the formula is valued TRUE, the text get red color which set off an alarm.  I'd like to go a step further by stopping the input stop once the limit is met. I check the Stop If True, but it doesn't work.

    thanks,

    Sheldon

  • Conditional formatting cannot do that.

You can apply data validation to the column:
