  • The problem occurs after I repair my vs2015,because I've uninstall it for several times,

    I have no idea what Ive missed,

    and I dont want to reinstall my win10.

    Firstly, please verify that the SYSTEM account has Full control. If it does not, add the SYSTEM account with Full control to see if it helps.

    According to “ExecuteError: Package (vs_minshellinterop) failed: Error Message Id: 1402 ErrorMessage: Could not open key: UNKNOWN\Components\6CE8C909E93E21E448A98CF4C80E328A\4F3D3444132ACC534817BC068F3AEFB3.   Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel.”

    Please go through with following steps to troubleshooting it:

    1. The log file displays this file and lots of registry key not found, it looks like some required system file maybe corrupted or missing, please run the command: sfc /scannow in the elevated command prompt and see if it will fix this issue or not.
    2. open the registry. Create a backup of the registry!! Then, locate the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserData\xxxxxx\Components\6CE8C909E93E21E448A98CF4C80E328A\4F3D3444132ACC534817BC068F3AEFB3 key and attempt to open. Right-mouse click on the key and click 'Permissions'. Grant FULL access to this folder, and check the box to allow the same permission to be granted to this key's sub-folders (descendants). Exit the registry, and repair VS 2015 again.
    3. Run Fix it tool to fix problems that block programs from being installed or removed.
    4. Try with the Visual Studio Uninstaller to uninstall the Whole VS cleanly.
    5. At the same time, please clean %temp% folder, go to Windows Update to see whether there is the update to install, if there is, please install the update first. Since installing visual studio requires your windows updated to the latest. Disable your anti-virus software, and run the setup as administrator.

    If this issue still persists, I need your help to the VS installation log. Please use http://aka.ms/vscollect to gather the installation logs. After using it, you will find vslogs.zip under %temp% folder. Please upload the file to https://onedrive.live.com/ and share the link here.
