HttpWebRequest : how to make useUnsafeHeaderParsing to true for a metro app in Visual studio 2011 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am trying to send HttpWebRequest to a radio url based on ShoutCast protocol. The server responds with ICY 200 OK instead of HTTP 200 OK. This is considered as good response in Windows Phone 7 but the same response is considered as Protocol violation in case of Windows 8 Metro UI. After reading a lot about it, i came to know that i have to make the property useUnsafeHeaderParsing of HTTPWebRequest to true. But i am not able to make it in visual studio 11 as it does not use config files. Please help.
