any sample c++ app using com object or dll ?

    Question

  • Hi All,

I am looking for a sample c++ windows store app using com object (or com server dll). If that is possible, i will write a new com dll without any deprecated APIs, so that it can pass the windows store policy.

Answers

  • Yes, you can create Registration-Free COM component, and then use CoCreateInstanceFromApp function to use this COM component. Please make sure the COM dll should be in the install folder.

  • In addition, we should pay attention the manifest files in your project.
We should add threadingModel="Apartment" in comClass node.
