aspnet_regiis problem RRS feed

  • hi

    i have installed vs.net 2005 and then iis

    i have program written in vb.net 2005 using web services. i get path after deploying the web services as http://localhost:port/webservice/sample.asmx and its works fine no problem.

    but when i register it in iis i got the path as http://localhost/webservice/sample.asmx in explorer but when i gave this path in program it shows an error by saying "SERVER APPLICATION UNAVAILABLE". Please help me to cross this error.

    i have registered the asp using aspnet_regiis -i.

  • You may need to check the port number of deployed application in IIS.

  • Hi ,

    Your IIS seems to be not registered with ASPNET proecess.

    Please try to register using command "aspnet_regiis -i " using visual studio command prompt.

    Let me know the results.

    thanks for your reply.

    i registered it now its working but the problem is when i run the program in same pc then its runs. but when i runs it from different pc then it access it. it shows error

    "The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a receive."

    that means i am using it as client server model. when i run it in same pc then it executes but client pc cannot access it. any access or network problem. all system is in network only and works fine.

    Please help boss
