Body indexing with vertical orientation RRS feed

  • Question

  • It is possible to use the body indexing with a vertical camera orientation? Or is this feature planned in future releases?

  • Body tracking is not supported in orientations where the sensor is not level with the floor. Given the wider field of view(FoV) and resolution is almost a square, you are not gaining much by mounting it on its side. What is the scenario you are going for? Could you just crop the image to get the same detail?

  • The resolution is no problem. We are thinking about to install the kinect in a column which is not wide enough. Currently i can manage everthing with the raw information. Body indexing would be a nice additional information. But anyway thanks for the fast answer.
