Have you configured Database mail yet?
Configure Database MailSending test mail will not work until this is done.
Hope that helps,

Hi,
In these situations, sometimes the SQL service restart helps.
what is the result of the following command sysmail_help_queue_sp:
EXEC msdb.dbo.sysmail_help_queue_sp @queue_type = 'mail';
Could you please check that .net Framework 3.5 has been installed.

Hi,
EXEC msdb.dbo.sysmail_help_queue_sp @queue_type = 'mail';
State is showing as Inactive .
I will install .Net Framework 3.5 and restart the SQL services and keep you posted .
