HCK studio: critical error when create a package for WS2012 R2 RTM RRS feed

  • Question

  • HCK studio ran into a critical error when create package for WS2012R2 RTM, and failed to save the package.

But it's OK to create a package for WS2008R2, is it because package of WS2012RTM is too large?

  • There is a known issue concerning this. Can you verify if you have run any tests names WGF11 Shader.... If so, can you share the status of the tests (i.e. passed or failed)?

  •  There is item names WGF Feature level 9.3 Support and another one names WGF Feature level 9.3 Support (WoW).  All the test items in the project are pass.

Is there any solution to this issue?

I made a program  to create a package, and debug with visual studio 2012. I got the same error in visual studio.

It will hang at saving log: 20131010\GR12.0\TEST12\RemoteBangFS_p2_C_TEST12.log.  Then studio show the overflow exception.

  • Thank you for the information. The issue is understood and will require you to contact  Sysdev@microsoft.com for further assistance. I've already contacted Sysdev to let them know about the situation. They will be able to assist further and, if necessary, contact me for more information.

  • Hello,

Contact the sysdev@microsoft.com alias if you encounter this situation.  It will not require opening up a CSS case.

    Thanks,

  • I followed up with Sysdev@microsoft.com. Unfortunately, they would like to look at each situation. While the solution may be the same, Sysdev would still like to review the each situation on a case-by-case basic to make sure there wouldn't be any other issues with the package when a work-around is applied.

  • Sysdev@microsoft.com is the appropriate email to use. The team is aware that I've been assisting you and will put me on any necessary communications. They understand the issue and have provided proper guidance to allow you to create the package.

BTW, this issue has been resolved for a future release of the kit.

  • Hi,

I think I have got the point .

Win8 LoadGen -Start Server job should be blame. The log of MC reach 3.5GB in my setup.

    So following is the workaound

    1.rerun Win8 Loadgen - Start Server jobs

2.Delete the log of MC (browse it from HCK Manager ,use a empty file to replace it ) ,then we also need to contact with MSFT to let them know we did it

    Best Regards, Mike
