How to pass "2.2 TB Boot Test" RRS feed

  • Question

  • During the WHQL test for a raid controller, "2.2 TB Boot Test" is always failed.

I searched about this, but found no more thread about this except the MSDN.

What confused me is: The test will make the system boot into preOS, but the preOS doesn't have the driver of the tested raid controller. So how does preOS can find the disk which connected to the tested raid controller?

Any comments on this will be so appreciated!

  • Please open a CSS support case if this is blocking you and have it routed to me. That may cause an issue if you are booted into a raid device and are testing on that device.

  • After I apply the filter, this case passed with a circle.

Does this means this test case has passed?

  • It means the test failed, but because of the filter some set of errors were transformed into passes. The filter looks for specific errors under specific conditions and modifies those into passes. The net effect is that the test is a "pass". You could think of it as there still being an error, it is just counted as a "don't care" for this device.
